Most of Chinese fans, me included, don't think Ding will win.

you know, while everyone says the trump still has plenty of years to come, people said exactly the same about jimmy white in 1984.
i rmb the commentator went sth like 'well, young jimmy still has many yrs to go"

I would say they virtually stand no chance against the other semi final's winner.
Playing in one-table atmosphere against someone from your generation and an all-time great are quite different..All the way Mark J!!

Call me another Chinese player's name that you won't be surprised to hear winning a tournament in the next season.
Things aren't the same in Britain, a traditional snooker region, of course.
I guess when Mark Selby got back to 10-10 from 10-6 down, you were one of the quickest to call for Ding's exit. Did I get it wrong? All the way Mark J!!

People may be quick to rule out Trump winning in the final but remember 2005. Murphy beat both Higgins and Ebdon on his way to the final and in the final he was up against Stevens who had reached at least the semi-finals in four of the previous five seasons. Stevens was 10 - 6 ahead but Murphy won 18 - 16. Higgins or Williams would be the favourites going into the final but I wouldn't rule out Trump.

Sure, the Higgins/Williams generation has a few more years left, and the Robertson/Murphy/Selby/Maguire generation a few more years than that, but eventually players born after 1990 will have to be winning titles. And it's more likely going to be someone who is already competing at the WC (even if they suffer a crushing defeat today), than someone of the same age who can't even get through qualifiers.
