I have opinions on it but no good going into it now is it, whats done is done and no matter how much we talk about it or debate it or slate it, it ain't gonna change 'owt so what's the point eh! NO POINT really is there?

It's just paiunful to see everyone clapping and cheering John on to win. It's like the whole situation was brushed under the carpet.
What doesn't sit well with me was the detail Higgins went into if they were just trying to get out of there and "scared" for their lives. Mentioning villas in Spain that need paying off and haggling from 200k to 300k for the throwing of frames, it's a little too much imo.

For me, as a spectator and fan, I am sad Mark didn´t make it to final.
But on the other side, Williams:Higgins match was meeting of two best players of last two years in my eyes, I think there is no one else who can beat Williams in long format than Higgins, not even being in his very best form.
I was really impresed by Judd´s perfomance, but I can´t see him beating Higgins

I do like the way Higgins plays the game and don't find him boring personally, though I think if he plays another tactical player it can get bogged down as alot depends on the make up of the players involved. Was a bit shocked by that video in Russia but putting that aside, I think he is the man for all seasons, he can attack ferociously when the situation demands, has a brilliant perception of the percentage shot and shows real grit too. I often think if you can adopt that kind of approach you can beat players far more talented than yourself so it can always give you hope.
Someone once told me "thats not the way to play snooker" when I beat them in a county competiton 25 years ago, but he was a far better break builder than me so I just tried to contain him with safety play and it worked, but what was I supposed to do, go for my pots and lose, he always had the option of splitting the pack if he fancied his chances against me!
But alot of it is down to clashes of styles I always feel, I've played a grand old stager in two competitions this year and four frames have taken us nearly three hours but I'm not normally like that honest lol, just that we both have similar games in matchplay so tended to cancel each other out.
