A disappointing performance from Higgins, hardly any decent breaks. Trump has taken advantage, so he is in a good position for tomorrow. But still a lot of work to be done, and I don't expect Higgins to be this mediocre for the rest of the match.

What an amazing champion Trump would be! He has had my full support in this tournament, he's playing exciting and entertaining snooker and doing it well.

I been watching trump very closely and waiting to see any signs of him cracking, I think we saw it in that last frame when he missed the yellow. The nearer he gets to the crown he will start to miss. This could be the story of the tortoise and the hare, as long as john don't fall to far behind he will catch Trump at the finish line.

BTW why the hell they pleayed 9 frames in this session??
I could imagine that the 9 frames is to avoid the late night finishes, we´ve sometimes seen.

Why does Higgins leave the arena after nearly every frame?
Thought they were putting a stop to it.

Come on the Juddernaught and turn him over.
Nice to see these youngsters doing well.

Class by Judd, he is not over the winning line by any means

He will have to fight his way there

Still if it were 10-7 to Higgin, i would say it would be just about over but this way round, we will see a great last day's snooker

Trump winning will generate a whole new generation of fans to the sport

                    • I can't understand why some ppl are trying to make this personal and bring age into it, just enjoy it for what it is, a great match and great for snooker. Whoever wins will deserve there victory and I will be please for either of them.

And Higgins didn't miss any easy shots ?

It is easy to call all of Judd's misses signs of him cracking and all of John's misses as bad luck but the fact is there is huge pressure on both players and they will both miss

John has a lot on his shoulders, he is representing a generation and knows this is a whole changing of the guard moment in the sport

It could start a decade of domination by Ding, Robertson and Judd pushing Higgins, Williams even O Sullivan down the ladder

Who´s most appealing for a teenager. A man on the same age as their father getting greyhaired or a youngster, maybe 4 or 5 years younger than themselfes, where they can think "that could be me". I´m 47 myself, but if this sport going to have any future, it will not be any good if Higgins, Williams and O´Sullivan are the dominating players until they get 50.
