Bah John was let down by a greedy agent and shafted by the lowest of the low tabloid newspapers.. Anyone who's known John from the very start (I myself first saw him play as a 17 year old), knows he's the nicest chap you could ever wish to meet. Don't let tabloid charactor assasination cloud your view of one of the greatest players and role models the world of snooker has ever seen.

1. The length of Higgins punishment
2. O´Sullivan would have won if he had wanted to.

Really two totally new things to discuss!!! Or should we just move on. I prefer that.

Judd seems like a really nice genuine man and totally down to earth and quite humble. Definite WC at some point.
I don't think Higgins really hit top form all tournament, but his cueball control was a fraction above Judd's, thats what won it for him.

could not agree more - lets not forget if the news of the world did it in this country the reporter and the editor would have spent time in jail.

Well done John Higgins , it's gotta be said that one of the key advantages John has over Judd is that he's an expert at laying snookers towards the end of frames , the last one a classic example and i think that's just what gave John the edge in winning this

great final and john deserved to win, noticed many phones going off on johns shot and none on judds, see alot of people didnt want john to win. adr's right, people believe more from a second rite newspaper than the tribunal.

Some people need to look up the meaning of the word "exonerated". I have video footage of Keanu Reeves stopping a bullet in mid-flight. It's about as trustworthy as any sting video produced by the NotW. Look at their track record. Look at the findings of the tribunals who had access to all the information that NONE of you had. Higgins is the World Champion once more, and I hope it's a kick in the teeth to the conspiracy nuts who hold up the News of the World as champions of honesty and integrity.

No doubting at all that John Higgins is a great player, but regardless of the past 12 months he's had the public decides who its heroes are and in my opinion its never been players like Higgins, its always been the flair players like Alex, Jimmy and now Judd ( who's got people talking about snooker again the past 2 weeks and created a great buzz for the way he plays the game ).

But as with any era, you need the consistant winners like Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and John Higgins, for the flair players or underdogs to play against which always makes for a great atmosphere and great snooker and long may it continue.

Maybe not, but they were the rules at the time, no doubt he deeply regrets what he did, if he'd known all the bad stuff that would have come out of it he'd not have done it for sure, but everyone deserves a second chance in my view, he wasnt found guilty so he should get one last lifeline, bet he got a few very stern rollockings for damaging the image of the game!!!
