No doubting at all that John Higgins is a great player, but regardless of the past 12 months he's had the public decides who its heroes are and in my opinion its never been players like Higgins, its always been the flair players like Alex, Jimmy and now Judd ( who's got people talking about snooker again the past 2 weeks and created a great buzz for the way he plays the game ).

But as with any era, you need the consistant winners like Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and John Higgins, for the flair players or underdogs to play against which always makes for a great atmosphere and great snooker and long may it continue.

Actually I think the reason Judd lost should be found yesterday, if he had got a lead of 4 or 5, he might have been able to hold on. But a great performance he has shown, and two months ago he was another promising player failing to fullfill his potential. I think we´ll be seeing a lot more of Judd Trump in the coming years and I´ll look forward to it.

Exciting times for snooker, loads of new tournaments, growing prize money, and the potential for an era shift with the new guard: Judd, Ding, Jester, Robertson and the old guard: Williams, Higgins, Ronnie battling, it out, along with the master Hendry going to give it his all once last year. They have flair on the exhibition circuit as do all the pros, but on the match table they dont, of course they can pull all the shots off, they just choose not to, it's NOT about flair otherwise u wouldn't have any greats of the sport, as great as he is if everyone played like Trump u'd get a load of first time winners of events and more shared round, it's the higgins and hendrys and davis's shot selection and no flair attitude that gave them their success, show me a player who'd rather get to a world final and play an exhibition shot rather than what he knows to be the correct one and I'll say he's stupid for not giving himself the best chance of winning on his big day, u don't work all ur life to concentrate too much on entertaining the crowd, u never know how many shots at the world's ur gonna get, and I mean in the final shots, Judd did great today, he did play the right shot sometimes which was great to see, glad he didnt throw his cue at EVERYTHING!

Top 3 for me, and will in the next 5 years win another one I'd gaurantee it, then he'll have to be considered top 3 by everyone due to number of world champs won!

I have to say Ronnie is the best player ever at his peak. However, John Higgins is the best player ever because he does it all the time and is the most difficult player to beat. He has different game plans for different players. He sticks with you all the time.

I wish they would stop asking spastic questions just to film an emotional scene. It's pathetic television.

Great tournament and the popularity of Snooker is growing strong again. Happy days.

I think that´s the problem with Hendry continuing to play. We forget how good he was, and it´s the same with Davis and White.
