I find it astonishing the hype about judd chump! Yes he's a great single ball potter and pulls of the exhibitions shots when frames are dead which the crowd love but what's he been doing the last 5 years! I think he's got a touch of the jimmy white's about him, especially when he chucked the frame to go 4 clear and even worse missing the pink twice to force another frame at the end there! Im yet to see what he's really got and don't start slavering on about China, natural talent will always be enough to win here and there but to be classed as a sensation you need more than just potting a few balls down the rail with reverse side.

Looking at the match as a whole, Higgins was generally poor (break building and safety) and looked very tired day 1 of the final! Having said that he should have been banned for life and its a disgrace he's playing, cant help feeling that there was an agreement made that the manager would take the hit!

As for steve davis who's opinion i normally respect, he really should stay of the banned substances when working for the bbc or whatever it was that is effecting his brain! If he said John Higgins had in his opinion the best all round or most rounded game in history i could live with it, although wouldn't agree! To say he's the greatest ever, well i fully expect to open the Sun tomorrow and see that Davis has checked in to rehab to fight numerous addictions! Until someone changes the game like Stephen did in the 90s, dominates like that and basically only had to walk into the arena to have the other players bricking it i really think Steve, a 6 time champion should no better! I can only assume the bbc had put on a free bar and he'd gone over his usual quota of 2 half's of shandy!

And as for that coconut Hazel Irvine, can they not find someone who actually knows a bit about the sport, are let davis or parrot or the doc host the coverage, she wouldn't even know what end of a cue to chalk! And if they do have to resort to having a daft burd presenting that knows F all about the sport could they not find a better looking one, she's got a face like a melted wellie! Out of interest did anyone clock her make up on the sunday night of the final, the amount of make up on her cheeks she looked like a F-ing garden knome!

First of all, congratulations to John Higgins!

It was an entertaining match. I think Higgins' experience won him the title and he deserved to win. It was kind of expected, I guess, but Judd Trump was impressive and couple of different choices could've change the result. On the other hand, I take my hat off for him for sticking to his own game as he felt that he can't beat Higgins trying to play Higgins' game. Brave choice. Trump's run in China and World Championship has been great for snooker and I'm looking forward to see him play again. I'm a Trump fan nowadays.

What are you talking about? Hazel does a great job and is the consummate professional and very nice in person too.

Judd played great, especially on Saturday. Fantastic long potting and you have to understand he had to qualify and he's only 21!

How can world snooker look up and say lifetime bans,when this guy gets away with 6 months???

Why did he not report the approach to world snooker??

I agree about Hazel Irvine (who I agree is a great presenter in her own right) and Rishy. Their interest in the game is very forced and it comes across in the interviews. Rishy looks like he's bricking it half the time, much better on the racing.

The other criticism I would make is it's about time the BBC utilised Dave Hendon or Phil Yates or another journalist in the commentary box/summariser as players like Ken Docherty (who I like as a person) just ain't good enough. If I hear him describe something as "unbelievable" once more I'll scream. Can someone not buy him a thesaurus for his birthday!!:-)

Those defending John Higgins, It's quite funny as I look to the top right of the post and see a Scottish flag.
