I believe that after the heckling incident MJW said to John something along the lines of "I hope that doesn't put you off..."

I think that is a great display of sportsmanship and encouragement to your opponent - kudos to Mark. Given what was at stake in the match it was a tremendous thing to do in my opinion.

Yes he was publicly; I was near the back of the audience but reports from friends down near the front suggested that Mark joined the crowd calling "Come on John" immediately after the incident.

However, reports of what he said to John as they were returning to the arena from the interval are slightly less compliment worthy.

Well, I didn't get all of the details but was speaking to one of the press guys who overheard the conversation. Obviously I can't verify the details and I don't think it would be fair to reproduce what is essentially no more than gossip. If I seriously believed it unequivocally I would have posted the quote!

Aww not fair but do think whatever was heard would have been a joke as MW could not stop laughing. And he is a little devil i mean look what he said ti JW after his first WC title.
