  • World Snooker Championship booking form

    Hi,

I just noticed the post on the world snooker site about the wc and that the booking form will be available mid December.

I wish they would update the main page to inform people, if anyone spots the form online could they please post on here to let us all know.

Also does anyone know if the application forms are done the order they receive them or do they just all go in one pile and it random after that.

    Thanks.

Last year I spotted the booking form on the WS-site only by coincidence. There was no note on the main page. So I think it's worth looking on the specific site directly.

The application forms will go in one big pile and then done on random basis.

Some of the tickets are a little bit cheaper than last year. I remember the final sessions were 50 & 55, now the afternoon session is 42 quid. Semi's seem a bit cheaper as well... what's going on?

Sir Rodney's final bow Or maybe downward price spiral caused by recession? Anyway, nice to see tickets getting cheaper. Hope I can get some to watch some matches again!:snooker:

Anyone know how long it usually takes for them to allocate tickets and let you know?

Is it just a case of tickets turning up in the post or do they email you to let you know beforehand?

I rang the Crucible booking office yesterday and they couldn't tell me anything. Their advice was to check with your bank to see if they have processed the cheque or contact your credit card company to see if your card has been charged. If affirmative then your tickets are on the way. Last year my tickets arrived at the beginning of February having sent my application in very early. Just have to be patient I suppose but its a worry in case your application has gone astray.

I've applied for some, but no money has been taken yet.
This is the first time that we have been able to go to Sheffield, so we're really hoping that we get some. I even have a hotel reservation.

Could some of the people who have been before perhaps tell me which matches are usually sold out before tickets go on general release? What are the chances of getting tickets for Sat 17 and Sun 18 April matches? I've read somewhere that for the earlier rounds you could perhaps pick up tickets on the day, but I'm assuming these are perhaps for weekday morning sessions.

The waiting and not knowing if they have even received the application is so frustrating.

Zawadi I'm sure you'll be OK for 17th and 18th. There's always tickets available for 1st round matches. Only one that would have a chance of selling out would be Ronnie but he's not in action till Monday I think. I agree that the waiting and not knowing is frustrating. Hang on in there!
