I remember one year Jamie paid I think it was £200 to enter and the matches were played at Pontins - can't remember how he did - not very well.
But I think it cost WSA hardly anything only a few officiails' wages.
But having thought about it - I am rather contradicting myself as I always moan about wild cards and the effect they could have on a players' career if the underdog won - especially as the ranking points are more for the Worlds. So I suppose it should stay as is.
Waiting for the results now - c'mon Stedders!!

The countdown has started. This is alway a very interesting time of the year as the top 64 is decided and the 8 extra players are found.

I only kept a close eye on a couple matches today..

David taylor lost 5-1...

Nic barrow won his first match 5-1...vs bill oliver, second match 5-0 vs stephen ormerod.

Neil selman (neilmaxmann, coaching vids on youtube) won his first match 5-1 vs ali bassiri.....lost second match 5-3 to david singh.


Look forward to tomorrow's play now, pity it's not being streamed...

Why cant this be streamed... a cracking tournament in itself, theres quite a few players there that i would rather watch more than some of the current top players....

Considering it's the worlds, ya think they would have streamed it eh...
