  • Disapointing that this thread seems to have been hidden away, so the discussions of the matches have died.....what happened to Drago against Mcculoch ?

    • Ian won 10-6
Disappointing for Tony cos all his hard work might still have to win 2 matches to qualify next year, he has China of course but I he needs a very good performance to get to top32...

      • Well, I've yet to see the framescores of the second session, but it looks like McCulloch scored quite heavily and Tony just couldn't come back after losing six frames in a row to trail 6-2. It's a shame, but it was always going to get harder and Tony has already played 36 frames in his two previous matches and that probably doesn't help if you're 44. His season is not over yet though, maybe we can see him in China.

As for the thread not showing on the main page, I have no idea what the problem is.

        • Anda Zhang beating Higginson means that Zhang stays on the tour, and Higginson will need a very good run in China to get into top 32. Robert Milkins also missed out on top 32 in the most important match for him this year after so many good performances earlier this season.

Whilst you are probably correct, Robert still has the China Open at the end of the month so a good run in that could still see him finish in the top 32. It would have to be a flipping good run though and obviously depends on the results of those around him. Today's result is a shame considering he was 6-1 down against Bedford and went on to win nine frames in a row to win 10-6 on Wednesday.

Bearing in mind he started the season ranked 55th it will have been a very good season indeed regardless of if he manages to break into the top 32 this season or not. He also looks set to start with a high ranking in the one year list for next season which will be something great to build on. He's provisionally 14th although with the top 32 players still to play in the World Championships I expect that to be lower at the end of the season.

              • Will Steve Davis drop out of the top 32 if he loses his World qualifying match on Sunday?

Had been thinking of going to watch his match in Sheffield but have heard that tickets have sold out. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed true?
