That's what I thought too after the Welsh... but he was nowhere in China. While Ebdon did a Robertson.

How much would you put that down to getting over the emotion after making a max

these days the standard is so high you never know - cope carter could be a classic match - i think i will have a cheeky go on ronnie getting dropped round one.

M okay, you got me here...

But overall this season Ebdon didn't put many feet wrong, he was knocked out of tournaments either by Ronnie or a finalist; right, and someone with whom he had a very unfavorable h2h, in the Welsh I think.

So unless Dott is going to be a finalist (ok let's lower it down to semifinalist, since it's WC ), Ebdon is favorite in their match.

Dott has lost to O'Sullivan in Shanghai who won it, Higgins in Wales who won it and Allen in China who reached the semis. Also at the UK he had to withdraw from his match through illness.

Ebdon has to be favourite for me, though at the same time a Dott win wouldn't be the biggest upset in the world.

My opinion is too biased and I wouldn't want to jinx him.

cope and dott are the shortest odds of the outsiders to win their first match .
Both at 11/10 so not warth a dabble imo .

naaaaaaaa Michael Holt will win and may step it up this time. He has class in a glass and will make a move up the rankings this year and next. Watch this space:snooker:

He is mad as a box of frogs and I love watching him play, makes me laff.

I had a game with Martin Gould on Saturday and having seen his form first hand I think he can do some damage at Sheffield. Marco needs to find his form early on, and despite winning the Championship League (short format, best of 5s) I think he has shown very few signs of encouragement this season over any kind of distance.

Btw has it ever happened in any pro tournament that all seeded players won their first round match ? I know it hasn´t happened at the Cruicible, but anywhere else ?
