Pictures from the Crucible 2010

Good pictures indeed. Some interesting angles (and you must have been well positioned as someone noted).

These ones look of better 'quality'/'contrast'/'clarity' than those in Women WC, is it because of better lighting in the crucible, or you are using different camera/lens?

I'm using exactly the same camera and for part of them the same lens aswell, but the lighting is quite different. Also at the Crucible photographers operate from cubicles so that the risk to disturb the players is much lower. This helps also because we are freer to move around and adjust the angles.

I was hoping you'd get a shot of Mark King walking into the arena & doing his funny dance

And maybe a shot of Mark J. taking his crazy under-the-body shot :snooker:

Regarding King, it wasn't possible. From the cubicles you don't have the proper angle really (he only did a couple of steps dancing, just coming into the arena).
As for that shot from Mark J... I didn't see it. Must have been taking pictures of the other match at that moment.
