I picked Robertson 12-1 and Ding 10/1 and had an outside bet on Ebdon at 66-1

Fantastic under pressure and a great potter. He has a chance in any tournament. Though I think he needs to temper his game with a tad better safety/shot selection on occasion to have any chance of wining here in Sheffield. Not one of my picks this year but love it if he did do it.

Agree with you there Lawyer . He plays the same all out attacking game as Hendry , great when they go in but in todays standards disastrous when they dont .

I thing he needs to be a little more patient otherwise he may go down as one of the games under achievers .

He's been there I've seen him a few times, mainly watching the action on the table on the right hand side of the dividing wall. Think his name is James Lawless, he played on the PIOS tour for a season and is quite possibly the worst player to have ever competed on that. Look up some of the videos of PIOS events and you'll see what I mean!!!!

I am working too much on, First time I have missed for a few years but might grab a ticket for the final if either Robertson Allen or Williams make it there.

Mark Allen is no doubt in great form. But it's still early to predict whether he will reach the final. I think greamme Dott is just the right type of player to slow him down. The QF may go either way, but i fancy Dott a little bit more to win this.

Allen will give Dott hard time

I fancy Allen to win :snooker:

I think Graeme Dott will win the match with a comfortable margin. Dott is mentally stronger then Mark Allen and in pressure matches the ability to withstand pressure is all what matters.

For mine, Allen has been the most impressive player so far. He is scoring heavily (as is Dott for that matter). The only thing that is disappointing from him is often his shot selection which does highlight his inexperience. I don't think that Dott is the ideal opposition for him and this could work against him. In saying that though, I still favour Allen.

BTW, I think if Dott wins, he makes it back into the 16.

Yea I never thought I'd hear myslef cheering on Dott but this year he seems to want it, and is playing exceptionally well.
I think these two guys are the two most in form, and the winner of this match is in with a shout to lift the title.

Thats true. I'll wait till the Murphy/Ding match until I make a 'call' on whose going to win, but these two are the guts in form. I think Dott has really imrpoved his scoring, maybe going back to the qualifiers changed his game.

I think Dott has improoved rapidly over the last year or so, but I can only see an Allen victory in thier Quarter-Final. Allens' scoring has came on leaps and bounds since the last tournament.

Thats true, but as I mentioned before (maybe in another thread) that if Dott wins this match, he is back in the top 16. That is definetely impetus to win such a match.

I think Dott is way underated by many . On form he is a match for anyone and is quite fluent amongst the balls .
