  • Commentary teams?

It has just occurred to me that, in all the years I've watched the World Championship, I don't think I have ever seen Clive Everton and Willie Thorne in the commentary box together. I was wondering if there is a reason for this, or whether I just haven't noticed them commentating together.

Clive is allergic to the polish Willie uses on his head....

Seriously, rumours are they don't get on

      Thanks rambon.

I did suspect it may be a 'clash of personalities' thing.

I thought I heard Dennis' voice last night on Eurosport. Don't know why he has decided to do that as I used to love him on the BBC . I still havem't seen any coverage on the BBC yet though.

He was on Saturday, on the Higgins vs Hawkins game I think

He dropped Willie Thorne in it by telling everyone that Williams and Hendry both reckoned they had had 500 plus maximum breaks in practice, which rather moistens the chips of WT; and not with vinegar (if you get my drift)

He (Taylor) was also commentating for the BBC on the O'Sullivan v. Wenbo match alongside Willie Thorne..

Yes, but the question relates to Thorne and Everton.....

Thorne apparently refuses to be in the same box as Everton. After all, Clive would show him up as the dreadfully bad commentator that Willie is.

                            Exactly!
Comparing Thorne to Everton is like comparing a lightbulb to the sun.

                            Really!

On the subject of WT's maximums

I remember Willie Thorne telling that Presenter guy on the BBC when he gave us that 147 tutorial that he had made 167 maximums. Well i can tell you that Jamie Cope has made well in excess of 147 maximums, as it is rumoured that he stopped counting them once he reached 147 times(quite a while ago). Puts things into a lot more perspective don't you think? lol.
