  • What a finish to frame 12! Under pressure, Steve Davis clears to black to extend his lead back to 4 frames

        • Higgins has thrown away a bunch of chances to get back into the match here. I don't think he's playing well enough to get back from 6-10 tomorrow, so he really must make it 7-9 at least.

          • Does this game finish tonight or tomorrow morning guys/gals?

Just saw the last frame having just came in from school aswell, good stuff from Steve.

            • Higgins looks lost at the moment. Davis is playing tentatively, and this makes the 13th frame a total madness..

              • You cannot say that Higgins played bad. Give Steve credit, he outplayed John and was nothing John could do about it, at the time. John may get the upperhand later, but I do think that apart from the fluke that Steve had, John had most of the luck going, like getting lucky positioning and some lucky safety shots.

I just hope that Steve keeps playing well.

I wasn't talking about the general path of the match. I just meant in the 13th frame, they both got in and messed up with some good chances.

Higgins won in the end, but it wasn't a pretty one

                  Come on Steve!!

                  • Higgins has been extremely fortunate with many of his misses. He seems to never leave Steve on, even when he's missing shots.

                    • Dennis Taylor is hoping Davis can share the next three frames with Higgins.

I suppose he didn't say evenly.

                      • We'll never see anything like this again...

Trying to understand this Steve Davis phenomenon... to put things into
a perspective that makes some kind of sense out of a Legend like Steve
Davis returning to The Crucible and actually turning back the years.
It is his seniority of experience? Is it a renaissance of his awesome natural gifts?
Is it sheer willpower and determination and a last kick at the cat?
Or maybe it's just pure love of snooker?

I think it's more elemental than that... he is snooker
                        .

                        =o)

I agree, after snookering Davis behind the brown.

Davis potted it from the cushion only to go in-off and leave Higgins a free ball.. Absolutely the worst luck a player could ever get..
