You cannot say that Higgins played bad. Give Steve credit, he outplayed John and was nothing John could do about it, at the time. John may get the upperhand later, but I do think that apart from the fluke that Steve had, John had most of the luck going, like getting lucky positioning and some lucky safety shots.
I just hope that Steve keeps playing well.

We'll never see anything like this again...
Trying to understand this Steve Davis phenomenon... to put things into
a perspective that makes some kind of sense out of a Legend like Steve
Davis returning to The Crucible and actually turning back the years.
It is his seniority of experience? Is it a renaissance of his awesome natural gifts?
Is it sheer willpower and determination and a last kick at the cat?
Or maybe it's just pure love of snooker?
I think it's more elemental than that... he is snooker.
