but neil only played REASONABLE, in ONE session, which is crap quality for a world championships, anyway fair play to him if he wins without playing his best

          • At the end of the day, Neil is through Martin isn't. Deserving or not deserving is irrelevant really.
            Slow on t'uptake since 1992.

              I beg to differ...
              My cat Neil.
His fur style comes and goes depending on his namesake's victories or defeats.

Had Robertson not pulled a rabbit out of Gould's butt today...
this Lion Cut would have been the outcome for Neil...

                • Come on guys. No matter who you were supporting try to look on the positives. Fantastic advert for snooker and just what we need. Think I'll unsubscribe from this thread if its just a slanging match.

                    Agreed.
It is always a cooler balancing act if you can put the cues in the other hands... in other words...
whomever was a Martin supporter, imagine him being down 11-5 overnight and charging back to a 13-12 victory today.
That would've been wonderful and fantastic, right?
That may help to try and understand how Robbo fans feel today.

It's sports. Martin did better than almost anyone would have imagined possible and he will be back. He won a lot of fans.

Thanks for the entertainment Neil & Martin!

You didn't even watch the match, don't play smart. He was way too lucky and got away every time when he played horrible shots. Also he fluked a totaly missed plant in the last frame and don't forget that crapy situation with the refferee which put Martin off (oh, i forgot you didn't even watch the match). It's a shame that Neil will most probably play in the semis against Dott or Allen. I can't see Davis win the QF, sadly.

                        • pity gould didn't win as I think Davis could beat him, Robertson will probably destroy Davis though.

I didn't watch the first session because i was at work, but i watched every minute of the second session, and it was a master class by Martin Gould. I didn't see any luck, just pure outclassing of the opponent.

i assume if he is that good he would have won

He did play fantastically well but on the occasions he missed (a few times) he did come out lucky. Attacking safety shots but more than a few went astray and he never gave Robertson a sniff.

I have to say your posts do sound a bit bias against Neil Robertson in particular, why do you dislike him so much?
He is a nice guy, a great player and a credit to our game. Give him a chance.
