I love both the players although i want to see Steve Davis in the final. Be great for a Englishman to win this as well as the fact that Davis is amazing. However i supose it all depends on how the are on the days?

Neil will pot his way out to the semifinal. Davis misses too many balls, and i still can't understand how Higgins didn't punish him on so many occasions. Steve made his mark in the championship with that faboulous first session against Higgins, but that will be all i guess. Neil will win this rather confortably.

Jesus Christ Higgins crumbled from a starting point of playing extremely poor Robertson came back from a 11-5 death now ask Yourself a simple question Who played better.

Robertson will win no doubt about that.

He didn't say played better. He said better player. It's a big difference. Anyway, Neil is a strong favorite here for sure.

I'm not so sure ... Higgins fought back and gave Davis a really hard time - hence Davis taking on that amazing finish - he thought he had to against Higgins now back in form ...

On the other hand, Gould simply lost it today - couldn't pot long balls, couldn't get good position - he simply threw it away ... I saw the last 3 frames or so of that session and Robertson wasn't playing well, it's simply that Gould was playing much worse ...

So come on Steve - you can do it!

So Davis is the oldest crucible quarter-finalist since Eddie Charlton 27 years ago. Quite unbelievable.

so presumably, using all my powers of deduction, Steve Davis would also be the oldest Crucible semi-finalist, finalist, World Champion for at least 27 years should he continue to win ...

come on Steve! you can do it! show these youngsters how to play proper snooker!

but it wont depend on Davis at all....The reason Davis in the Quarters depended on John playing poor and the same thing is the case against Robertson....

if Robertson plays well he will swamp steve.

Got to agree with wildjonseye here . That was a remarkable feat by Davis that cant be taken away from him , but i think Robbo will be another kettle of fish , and he wont underestimate like he did Gould , and will be far too strong for the nugget .

I dont mind who wins , used to hate Davis , but now like others have nothing but admiration , the guy is a living legend . I like Robbo aswell I just hope it,s a classic .

Ned believes he can win the tournament, while Steve probably doesn't. But the Gods may alter the expected course again

it's not a football match P, each player plays for themselves not for their country.
