Apart from Mark Allen I think there will be 2 players in particular hoping Dott does not win this match: Jamie Cope, as I think that would mean he would loose his provisional top 16 place to Dott at the last minute.

And Ronnie, should he get his head together tomorrow and somehow beat Selby I dont think he would look forward to playing wee Dotty in the semi-final atall !

I'd like Dott to win simply because he'd get into top 16 then.
He would kick out Cope, right? Good - Cope is not ready for to be there yet.

Otherwise, Dott would be a less comfortable opposition for either Ronnie or Selby in the semis, so more intense match... And I'd prefer either Ronnie or Selby to win that one

I fully agree with the first part. But I'd also like Dott to beat whoever there is against him in the semis if he gets there. It's really nice to see him back playing well, probably his best snooker ever.

I have to say that the BBC coverage of both Graeme's game with Stephen Maguire and this one have been a total disgrace. There are other players beside Steve Davis, who I know deserves great recognition for what he has done but blanket coverage on BBC2, Red Button AND Snooker Extra is just a bit too much.Aside from Graeme's match with Maguire there have been other matches ignored. Liven up BBC.

I couldn't agree more. I dont know about anyone else, but i had to wait untill after the mid-session yesterday evening till i was able to see any of the Allen/Dott match. When hitting the RED button & pressing 2 on my remote, nothing happened. This is not the first time this has happened, i rememeber the same thing happening last year, & on more than on occassion..

Dotty picking up where he finished last night... He's playing the best I've ever seen him play He won the first frame of the session & looks set to win the second!

Mark would have to do well if he's to stay with him.

The joy of being at the first 16 frames of this game yesterday was heightened by the fact that I didn't have the red button frustration I have had previously.

The BBC coverage has been a farce in recent years, and their reliance on the red button for "cheapskate" live coverage of every frame is a disgrace for me, as is their cutting and editing (show live snooker for crying out loud).

Dott has come back superbly after a shoddy start and of the 6 players I saw yesterday (didn't see a ball of O'Sullivan and Selby), Dott is definitely the man who looks in the best nick.

10-8 now, and that's 7 out of 9 for Dott....

Mark went for an overly ambitious shot to the middle pocket (and missed it) after building a good lead following Dotty's missed black

Come On Mark!!! :snooker: Get your head together

Edit: He's in with another chance in frame 19!

                    Allen is red.
                    Is he usually this red?
Is that him on brink of being kicked out of WC?

But even Dott is getting some traces of color, maybe it's hot out there.

Edit: even murph the pink boy is doesn't seem too red, so it's something about Allen this time.

Dott has the same pale look, while Allen is as baked as ever

Terrible two frames for Dott in the end, it's 10-10..

Mark was very fortunate on numerous occasions in that 20th frame But I'm sure he'll take it especially against a fantastic Graeme Dott:snooker:

                          10-10 @ the MSI.

                            Yes.

Good match, enjoyable to watch. Seeing as they've got for a cuppa, I'm now watching the other match on Eurosport, and my God, those commentators are waffling! One of them even did a Wossy impression.

Yeah on PC it's not that obvious, but on telly on Eurosport he's got red/pinky patches all over his face. I compared that with other's players faces, it's not tv settings

At least main Eurosport channel English commentary is so much more knowledgable and accurate about the positional play (the older guy there) than Eurosport.ru mr.sinitsin, it's quite some shock after them to go back to telly with sinitsin.
But the same English commentary older guy gets boring and annoying quite soon... Then sinitsin's nonsenses are quite refreshing
