He is, but only because Dotty's playing so well and putting a lot of pressure on him but you've already pointed out it was a great clearance by Dotty:snooker:

Wouldn't you say that acknowledging Dotty's GREAT clearance is giving enough credit? :snooker:

    • Thanks cue1 :hugs:

Mushka you're so right, he came very quickly indeed

Snooky147: From what I saw of the match he wasn't playing that well... though I only saw the last two frames with some crucial misses. However I hope he'll improve tomorrow as I want to see him come back

Dott is really playing great, Mark's not getting too many chances!

Sorry, I meant that your not giving Selby credit for playing well, which he is. He is just losing the tactical battle. He is not missing many pots really.

Absolutely, they both are... Could have easily been 9-7 or 8-8 if it weren't for a miss or two. It's a high quality match between two gritty players that want this title badly:snooker:

          But...

          Come ON Mark!!!

Dott is not known as a bottler?
Or then who knows, people notice his existance only when he wins WC
I think it's very possible. Selby is a player who likes to slow things down towards the end of matches, and Dott has been vulnerable to that in the past. He almost lost a big lead against Peter Ebdon in the World final, and has a very poor record against Ebdon in general. He was also very upset about Ian McCulloch's pace in their 1st round match in 2007, and also about Steve Davis' long toilet breaks some years ago. So I think Selby has every chance if things get scrappy towards the end.

But having said that, Dott looks incredibly relaxed in this tournament, as if he was under no pressure whatsoever. So I think it's going to be tough to crack him.

                Thanks Odrl.
I'm not so sure what to expect, I hear Dott is able to grind himself too. And a smaller end-of-match comeback by Dott against Allen is very fresh.

Don't know how was he before, but this year Dott seems quite relaxed, I agree. Having chats during the match too

                • Mark's had 3 good chances to win this frame! Looks like he'll take the third...

                  • Mark will probably make it 10-7 now, Dott not playing well at all this morning.

                    • Just come into this thread late......so sorry if its been discussed

But what a cracking 146 break from Dott yesterday, especially the opening red after Selby's break off, wouldn't have predicted a big break form there.

Not really a fan of Dotts but credit where it's due a great clear up...........

                      • Great break from Greame that was. Especially after a 142 from Mark earlier in the game.

                        10-7 now, come on Mark!
