QUOTE=Rane;493207]Could you explain this one please ??? Everyone has their personal favorits but I can´t see that it does any difference for snooker who wins this match. Both have earned their place in the semis fair and square.[/QUOTE]
Sure mate.
MJW has gone.
Higgins has gone.
Hendry has gone.
Davis has gone.
Even Ron has left the auditorium.
Who we have left are younger players who want a chance and this is the best chance
they might ever get with the Big Guns MIA.
Carter and Selby and Robertson.
All have hard-fought wins to get them there no doubt... especially Neil's historical come-from-behind over Gould.
Dott is a special case because he's been minimized as a one-off WC winner but in particular
because of all his now well-known personal trials and tribulations.
Dott, as a former WC winner would be a dream guy in the Final from a PR point-of-view.
Of the 3 others, Robertson is a breath of fresh air in every way...
he is younger and more appealing than the others... he has best powerplay of the three and the kicker...
he would be the first non-UK Champion since dear, beloved Cliff Thorburn almost 30 years ago!
Snooker NEEDS that kind of Adversarial Hype!
That's what I meant Rane.
