Good point just mentioned by Steve Davis there, why on earth do they not start earlier in the afternoon so that the final is decided on skill? They're human beings and it's a touch ridiculous that the FINAL of all contests turns out to be a matter of who's not quite as knackered as the other!

Just looked it up: It was 3:51 AM when Thorburn beat Griffiths 13-12 in 1983.
