Why is that? Thus far, Higgins is only suspended for three months. If was stripped of his points/professional status etc, I could understand.

Just answering a hypothetical question about where robbo would be ranked if he won the final and higgins was booted off the tour (I realise he's only been suspended and this isnt the case)

                  • Last nights session could be the crucial one. Dott was half asleep throughout and I think that frame will hand Robertson the title.

                    • There's such a long way to go in this final yet, and just because Dott looked fatigued and made a number of unforced errors last night, does not mean it will be the same today.

Dont ask me why, but somehow Dott just seems destined to win the title..

                      • Destined? BTW, what exactly happened to Dott after he won in 2006? I've heard things about a broken arm, depression, something with his with his wife and/or father. He's done really well.

Robertson, through his interviews is full of confidence, bordering upon arrogance. He backs his ability, and he really has developed his game. Prior to the last two seasons, I thought he was just a potter, but he is a good all-round player now.

                        I think Robertson will rise.

Dott was just stating the fact that Selby is very negative in his safety play. The most negative I have ever seen a top player with loads of ability.
He just refuses to play a safety shot with any risk if he can roll into the pack.
                          This leads to many re-racks.
With his potting and breakbuilding talent he should be able to play a more attacking style of safety.

I enjoy a safety battle but when the player only wants to stifle the frame then it is hard to watch.

                            • Dott has made a dramatic change to his game from when he first won the wsc in '06, so far this tournament he has been fast, fluent and attacking, but I'm afraid the final has made him revert to type, so far anyway.
