It should be a cracker!
Way more at stake this year than the just the World Championship itself.
It is the penultimate achievement for any player to win it, of course,
and I wish both worthy competitors the best of luck of course, but more.
I hope that the excellence of play will present snooker in it's true light.
Let's look at it as the The WC Final coming at the perfect time to showcase our
dear sport's intelligence and elegance of mind and skill and honourable conduct.
Especially with recent events and the possibility of the first "foreign" Champion in 30 years...
the eyes of the world are on this one mates!

What a good all-round match this is turning out to be. Some of the time, Neil's cue action is absolutely sublime. Especially on some of the long shots off the cushion - absolute perfection!

So, only two more frames from the afternoon session.

Which leaves us a possible 13 starting from 8pm GMT.

If it goes the distance, and we assume a modest 22 minute average frame time (which is what they have had so far), 3 minute average time between frames, 15 minute mid-session interval, it could finish at 1:30am GMT, plus change (ceremony and whatever).

It really doesn't matter to me who wins this match, but I hope it will pick up pace, for the sake of my own sanity tomorrow.

(I don't have anything against the guys or the match. It's good and I enjoy it. But the decision to start the evening session at 8pm GMT is just moronic.)
