  • This is why Snooker is far more popular than various Pool games. It's not all about cleaning up. The tension is what adds to the interest.

    • Well guys, Pulse Question. Whose game is most affected by pressure?

      I'm saying Robertson!

      • Its obviously going to get scrappy from now on , to be honest you couldnt expect anything else .

The ability to handle the pressure at the closing stages seperates the the excellent players from the great ones .

        • Threads are already cropping up saying this final is a 'bad' one!!!

No final is a bad final. We all know these two players are of excellent quality. This the World final not a knockabout for a pint.

          And cost of the table.

There's tension and then there's excruciatingly bad.

            This is the latter mate.

                  • They do indeed look like some average club players. With due respect to the occassion, it still is the second worst world final I've ever seen
Ten reds and not a colour...

It is pretty dire to watch. Robertson might do better to go for his shots and be less cautious. They both seem to be dragging each other down at the moment. I remember a match (World quarter final I think) between Thorburn and Griffiths years ago finishing at 2:15AM and the BBC camera crew packed up and went home at midnight as there was no overtime arrangement.

                          • What happens if this goes on until 2 or 3 in the morning? Surely the players will be needing a few red bulls? I suppose the adrenaline and nerves will keep them going but they will be completely and utterly drained. If it comes to this situation, it's a bit of a shame that perhaps the pinnacle of their careers, and the event they've worked so hard to get to is decided on who is able to stay awake!

                            • Whats the deal with these late finishs, are the players arrange between themselves another mid-session interval?

                              • this is easily the worst snooker final I have ever seen in my entire life.

Shame on Neil Robertson for playing so slowly. He's bringing the game into disrepute imo
