Another century from Ebdon to finish the match. Good start to the TV season.

Maguire-Liang should be pretty interesting as well, a repeat of the 2009 BTV Cup final.

Very scrappy start, Maguire leads Liang 2-0.

They've renamed Maguire to Steven Maquire on the graphics.

Maybe it's his pseudonym in China...

                No, basically an exhibition tournament.

Very nice last frame Macguire- Wenbo, fireworks of good snookers and better escapes but last Wenbo's shot is sooo goood and unbelievable unlucky, when he hired cue ball behind brown I start clapping... but yellow go.. and go.. and...

An unlucky way to finish for Liang, he really tried hard to stay in the match. But with the way he played earlier, he can't really complain.

                    It should be interesting tomorrow.

And a very good performance from Murphy as well, to win 5-1 against Ebdon. A couple of mistakes here and there, but it looks like he has a chance of successfully defending his title. Next up, Ding-Maguire... I think Maguire will need to play a lot better than yesterday to have any chance.

Anyone out there who has been watching the Murphy/Carter match from the start? Little surprised to see Carter 5-2 in front....has Carter been playing that well, or just that Murphy has not capitalized on any chances given to him??

Murphy was very poor in the first three frames, a couple of wasted chances, and a lot of loose safety shots. Carter didn't play that well himself, but was able to take advantage. Murphy then played a decent frame for 1-3 at the interval. It was higher standard after that, with a good break from each player.

But amazing to see Carter losing that last frame from a winning position. He could still lose the match now.

Thanks Odrl. Yes, quite unbelievable the amount of unforced errors from Carter in that eighth frame, which to me looked more like frustration on his part. You would still have to make Carter favourite to win the match, but at the same time i could see Murphy turning this match completely around and end up victorious..
