Which automatically means that Gould will go 4-0 down and require 2 or 3 snookers in the 5th only to magically recover and win, thus making sure that Davis can (I am assuming) continue to break records, for the longest amount of time spent ranked number 17.

I thought Bingham-Selt was a pretty good match, although it did get very nervy towards the end.

Selt has now proved himself in the early season for the third time in the last four seasons. I wonder what happens to him after summer...

I never cared much for stats like these nor pretty much the rankings as a whole. At the end the matches for me is what it's all about, and you never know these days...a lower ranked player could have his day/tournament and play a great game against a higher-level player. So basically it's all elementary (my dear...).

Well played Burnett. So Selby is the only one of the big4 to go out in the 1st round. That leaves Murphy, Robertson and Ding as the big favourites for the title.
