I was getting far more frustrated that I should at Joe Johnson and his fellow commentator during this morning's match between Mark Allen and Sam Harvey. Allen was on fire and went into a 3-0 lead causing the two commentators to keep making reference to Harvey having not scored a single point. Every time it looked like Allen might take the final frame they would remind us that Harvey hadn't potted a ball. Joe Johnson even said that he wasn't sure it had ever been achieved before.
I wouldn't have minded if it weren't for the fact that Harvey was the first to score in the match, when he potted a red and a blue after Allen took on and missed a long red in the opening frame.
What coach invented these ridiculous walk into the shot routines - stand back, step in, lift cue high in air and in a very pronounced manner present the shot?
Might as well do a tea pot impression before every shot for all the good it does them.
Woollaston has been performing very well in the PTC's and has risen up the rankings on the back of it. If he could qualify for some of the main tour events, he would stand a chance of getting into the top 16.
He plays in our local league too so I always look out for his results.
