Did you just see that, the ref just warned Trump for swearing when he didn't swear!
What is it with these idiot referees today, they are becoming little control freaks and some of the standard of these refs is shocking to say the least? Just what is it with so many of these foreign referees anyway, seems like the majority are now from european countries whereby they have very little experience of the game and fail to really understand how to manage the players.
Can you imagine a ref warning Alex Higgins or Ronnie for doing that, simple fact they wouldn't dare!Comment

Yeah and I think that is correct, afterall its a visible gesture that everyone can see. However swearing under your breath or in Trump's case not at all and being warned for it is a little bit over the top. I've noticed with these new refs they are taking the rules of the game to the extreme, possibly trying to make a name for themselves or get noticed, having their 5 minutes of fame because they will only ref these minor events.Originally Posted by rich45 View PostComment

Yes we finally have a number 1 who is truly the number 1. I'll be shocked if he doesn't retain the UK and win the WC this season. His game is far and away above anyone else. Yes Higgins on form can beat him but he's not this consistant and too often puts in an average or poor performance, I can't remember the last time Trump played average, its frightening to be in form week after week after week.Comment

But on current form he is above Higgins and that isn't disputable. Record centuries in the last PTC of 10 and winning in such a dominant fashion in every match, 5 more centuries in this tournament already compared to Higgins solitary effort. The best player doesn't always win the tournament, especially in these short races but on form nobody can say he's not the best player in the world right now.Comment
