It was the old ashe cue that he had converted with the joint between the splices. Todays cue was a full ebony butt similar to the classic JP cue that Parris built him as a replica to his old cue back in the early 90's. Steve used this cue on and off throughout the 90's but reverted back to his original cue for the last decade or so. Unless its a completely different cue, although I read on Twitter I think that he was going to use his replica cue this season.

Do u think these top players are not really bothered, especially when u consider they will probably get next to nothing for them . Are they using these qualifiers as quality practice.
Felt sorry for Steve Davis really, someone of his stature playing in a cubical with no atmosphere at all must be tough especially when u consider in his hay day he dominated the game

Not taking away anything from wild he played well, however I bet when he was growing up he couldn't imagine in his wildest
Dreams that one day he will be playing a competitive match against the mighty Steve Davis.

Davis deserve a lot of admiration and respect for still carrying on, it shows when u are in love with this game all that matters is playing

Wild gave me a few beatings many years ago in the juniors. I'm surprised this is the first we've heard of him in the big leagues. I always thought he'd make it. Tremendous long potter, if I remember correctly. Poor Nugget! Bad start to 2012/13 for him...
