I was at the Trump game today...... I watched him a couple of times when he returned to his seat and he looked pretty much not interested to be honest imo!!

I like Trump as a player and I think he's great for the game, I agree with everybody I think he needs to lose all the hype and this "naughty snooker' tag and get his head down practice and do all the talking he needs to do on the table!!

But every credit to Dott he did what he needed to do to win!!

He might want to invest in some practice time instead of whinging about money, and spending stupid amounts of money on idiotic looking shoes that look like they belong in some kind of fetish porno.

A candidate for Prat of the Year, perhaps?

I don't think its really "hate" per say, its more people getting bored with commentators droning on about him like he's the best thing since sliced bread (apparently before sliced bread we all lived in caves and dragged our knuckles along the ground) .

Its been said before the media\commentators fawning over him and going on about him as if his like had never been seen before really started to grind. I think its starting to die down some, not heard the "naughty snooker" bs in a while either thankfully.

I certainly hope not. Hope he goes away. Either that or the hype about him goes away. Either way I'd be happy.

Edit: TBH, I'd be ok with him if all the hype around him and arrogance dissapeared. I know he's a good player, but the next Ronnie, he ain't.

I'd sure be happy too. Sets himself up as the yardstick against which the rest of the snooker world is supposed to measure itself, gets kicked out of the first round of the UK Championship and is then sent packing by Dott. What a guy.

well he won the china open after winning the UK after getting to the world final. that's not bad. he's mentally more brittle than i thought i have to say but his talent is tremendous. i don't get the hating.

It's more the hype around him I hate. Naughty snooker etc. I think he thinks he's better then he is as well which annoys me.

I agree. Never have been a big fan of Trump because his too much attacking style of play, and also imo he lacks (positive) personality. For me personally it's just not there. Like we see in the likes of Dott, Murphy, Higgins. Of course much of that comes with age as well, so I can't judge Judd too much on that. But as far as the hating goes...even JV was highly critical of Judd today ...even to the point where I was thinking why is he all of a sudden so very negative about Judd? A bit surprising. Even in the studio with Hazel and the boys...they were very critical as well. Imo maybe a bit too much so. Anyway...Judd is still on a steep learning curve and very young. I need to remember myself of this every time. But he needs to work on improving his allround game and his focus on the match if he wants to become one of the all time greats, like he wants to be.

Looks like I'll be the only one cheering on Selby tonight then! I'm a Williams fan so would be happy with him winning but I prefer watching Selby.
