  • This has the makings of a good match, they both seem up for this and hitting the ball well

    • My only problem with watching Williams is the constant stress of expecting him to break down any minute. It's tough to watch.

Can be dodgy though, especially on a table thats had complaints about it rolling off.

        • Selby sure does like a double

            I share the same pain

            • Come on Selby! Great start and great tactical first frame. I would like to see Williams fight and make it close but Selby to win hopefully.

              • scratch my last comment, this is club snooker standard and Williams looks as if he'll be lucky to win a frame, this tournament is either great matches or awful stuff

                • It's amazing how many Mark's are technically in the top 16, we've already had battle of the Mark's in the round one...

Hard to watch Williams like this, is this the end of Mark in the Masters?
Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...

                  • That was a jammy pot! That red was wavering around like a drunk man.

                    • Too many mistakes by Williams really. If it goes 3-0 Selby then it will be very difficult for Mark to come back the way he has been playing...

Edit : many mistakes by both players. Will be interesting to see if it balances out or one of both will run away with the match.

                      • A lot of mistakes by williams but also as per usual Selby is having all the run. He really is the luckiest player on the circuit bar none. If there is a rub getting out of a snooker or missing a pot you can almost guarantee Selby will get away with, unlike his opponent who finds their luck deserts them.

                        • Jaysuz........ That was like Trumps fluke earlier, screw shot from range going into the opposite pocket.

difference being Judd plays to win, Selby only plays to force mistakes cos he knows the run will work in his favour. The shot on the green there was lucky too, he played the cueball in behind the brown, it didn't but the green just landed perfectly behind the pink and williams escape left the green, frame over. His opponents may as well give up!!!

                            • I really need to see Mark W start to perform asap and pull at least 2 frames back quickly, otherwise I'm afraid it will be a short match.

                              • Its unbelievable Selby is 3-0 up and his highest break of the match is only 28! Not often you see that.
