His mind is messed up, simple as that.

I did wonder when he walked in and little Richard in his quick intro chat focussed on his shoes - must've made him feel a bit silly being asked about shoes and 'naughty' snooker rather than a serious snooker based question.

Odd that he changed his shoes. What's that about?

Hmm, but we're back to the players walking out of the arena for a few minutes after each frame and asking the ref to clean the white after every failed positional shot to try to pretend it was a bad contact rather than bad shot.

World Snooker should tell them to prepare properly for the match and that includes going to the toilet beforehand so the audience gets to see the match un-interrupted - if you forget your chalk and need to go back to the dressing room to get it before the start you can be docked a frame but you can pop out after every frame - makes no sense.

Trump is in big trouble if his mind is playing tricks with him because of his shoes.

Judd showed a lot of bottle there after that in off from an impossible angle and then Hawkins leaving that final black so tricky across the nap. Seems to be an extra level of tension in this match compared to the others so far.

Those shoes most certainly do not look good.

Nice frame to win for Hawkins, he was all over the place in the beginning, but Trump kept giving him chances until Hawkins took control of the frame.

Yes, Hawkins will gladly take chances like that all day.

Bit laggy in work's computer though .

Afternoon all. Good first frame that, hopefully in for another cracker.

Phew! That was tense stuff. Well done to an off form but typically gritty Dott. Felt a bit sorry for Mags though, he played some lovely snooker there. All this talk of 'no characters in the game' bemuses me. What more do they want?

Anyway, great stuff that, thanks lads. Night all.

Lovely stuff tonight, can't beat a 6-5 on the final colours. Dott just about got over the line, he didn't manage a decent break at all in the last three frames. He might find it tough in the next round, particularly if Trump gets through.

What a dramatic decider. So many chances to both players. Congratulations to Dott.
