Well I've seen a Chinese player in one of last year's tournaments who had a mark on his cue indicating how far he needed to pull the cue back...so it's not that far fetched

Yeah it is his ring finger, but without the ring and a thick black stripe instead. Maybe he banged his hand a few times too many on the table and the ring left a bruise

Anybody know what that black line is for on Maguire's finger? Looked like it was put there deliberately, not a scratch or something like that. Eurosport wouldn't comment on it...maybe the punters on BBC did?
