  • First round matches like this are always a bit edgy and nervy and this one was no exception. I'm sure the standard will increase as the tournament progresses, as is the case in most events.

Think Judd deserved that win in the end, just about. He didn't have a lot of running in the match but when he needed to he stepped up and those 2 tons in the last 3 frames probably knocked the stuffing out of Hawkins. Earlier in the match there is no way he'd have missed the black to the middle and the blue at the end and didn't deserve to win given the amount of chances he spurned.

    • The match was entertaining, that's all that matters to me.

      • The last 2 frames were indeed very entertaining...nervy, topsy turfy, drama...good stuff in my book

great match in the way you might say that was a typical cracking cup match in football, not that it might be high class football skill performances, just scrappy and close at the end

if they're all going to be like that it will make for a poor tourney in my opinion
          Great Post!

                • I'm afraid Trump will knocked out in the second round as Dott's taking the title this year. Great comeback, though, and totally deserved win.
