Man...I have never seen John as upset in his seat, he was absolutely seething inside! Couldn't get out of there fast enough...probably trash his hotelroom tonight Strange scrappy match but the way I like em. Always glad to see Shaun progress to a next round.

Good win for Shaun, in the end, but I found his initial negativity strange and it nearly cost him the match IMO. Very entertaining evening for me, thanks lads.

Yes, great chances in the last two frames, he normally takes them.

He missed a sitter when clearing up in the decider against Davis in the UK as well. I'm sure he will be frustrated at how this part of the season turned out for him, failing to reach the business end of any of the big three tournaments.

There have been some superb comebacks in this years Master's and I was very happy to see Shaun Murphy do the same against Higgins. I have never been a Higgins fan, even before the match fixing debacle.

On a side note to that, I read a lot of negativity towards Selby. I have always liked him and just keen to find out why others don't so much.

Many suggest that he is unsporting and tactically grinds you down. (Excessive toilet breaks always playing safe needlessly etc etc). Others say that he is an undeserving world no 1 and only got there by virtue of turning up to more tournaments then the other players.

I personally wonder where they are coming from.

In a match against Hendry (I forget the tournament) he made 5(I think?) centuries and Hendry barely saw a ball. He also made the most century breaks in one season(last season??!) So he can be quite a big break builder.

He's obviously got a strange technique, but I think he gets a lot of unfair abuse on these forums for some reason.

I'm really looking forward to Williams Selby tonight, and despite what I've written above hope Williams wins. :snooker:

I agree with all of this. On his technique, I personally find it quite intriguing and since studying it further, it has strangely improved my game as I now move a little left and right while lining up and stop just before taking the shot. I don't know why i tried it but it worked for me.

Anyway, good luck to him and Judd today. Hope they make it through.

Well...another day and 2 great matches ahead. Really looking forward to both matches. Hoping Dott can pull through over Trump, it would be a wonderful win for Graeme. Bring it on!
