Yeah shoes were hideous. Perhaps it's what he needed, a few losses to realise he can't be the best without hard work and dedication.

I'm still struggling to get over Higgin's going out last night..

I personally wonder where they are coming from.

In a match against hendry (i forget the tournament) he made 5(i think?) centuries and hendry barely saw a ball. He also made the most century breaks in one season(last season??!) so he can be quite a big break builder.

He's obviously got a strange technique, but i think he gets a lot of unfair abuse on these forums for some reason.

I'm really looking forward to williams selby tonight, and despite what i've written above hope williams wins. :snooker:

      • Now, if I can just dig out the thread where i predicted that Judd was nothing special and will slowly drop down the rankings like the flash in the pan he is and that other forum member assured me that he would be around forever and winning 20-30 ranking tournaments in his career.........

Maybe we can finally forget about all this Naughty Snooker B0llacks!

I certainly hope not. Hope he goes away. Either that or the hype about him goes away. Either way I'd be happy.

Edit: TBH, I'd be ok with him if all the hype around him and arrogance dissapeared. I know he's a good player, but the next Ronnie, he ain't.

                • Selby going out would be the icing on the cake, he's like a guaranteed insomnia cure.

Looks like I'll be the only one cheering on Selby tonight then! I'm a Williams fan so would be happy with him winning but I prefer watching Selby.

Winning one big one wasn't the point. The point was a sustainable winning streak. I'll find it. I assume it was you?! lol.

EDIT: Got it http://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/boa...ld-no-1/page15 might put it in my sig actually. lol.

But so far, he's beggining to crumble and I hope it continues.

Like I said, if the hype dissapeared, I probably wouldn't mind him.

                        • Very well done Graeme! Glad he had a chance with Judd out of sorts today. Hoping for a Dott Murphy final...

I'm clearly a Selby fan and I hope to see good match between these two. C'mon Marks

well he won the china open after winning the UK after getting to the world final. that's not bad. he's mentally more brittle than i thought i have to say but his talent is tremendous. i don't get the hating.

I agree. Never have been a big fan of Trump because his too much attacking style of play, and also imo he lacks (positive) personality. For me personally it's just not there. Like we see in the likes of Dott, Murphy, Higgins. Of course much of that comes with age as well, so I can't judge Judd too much on that. But as far as the hating goes...even JV was highly critical of Judd today ...even to the point where I was thinking why is he all of a sudden so very negative about Judd? A bit surprising. Even in the studio with Hazel and the boys...they were very critical as well. Imo maybe a bit too much so. Anyway...Judd is still on a steep learning curve and very young. I need to remember myself of this every time. But he needs to work on improving his allround game and his focus on the match if he wants to become one of the all time greats, like he wants to be.
