So across the season Eurosport which is free with my Sky package (no sports package).
Very infrequently I will use the PC on the BBC (when stuck at work ) or sportlemon when desperate
I have not signed up for any iplayer or WS Live service.
Note about Eurosport commentary being out of sync, is because their feed from the event supplier is feed to "eurosport" studio where the commentators are (they tend never to be at the event itself I believe), then it is feed out to viewers so there is a built-in latency. This would be hilarious with JV's catchphrase that shall-never-be-spoken - as it would always be behind the occurance

I actually watch on both but as much as I love watching in HD on Eurosport, I hate their logo in the corner that screen burns on my plasma. I contacted Eurosport asking them to turn up the transparency as its annoying. Also annoying is the fact the BBC have an HD Channel open just showing pointless previews while they show snooker on BBC2. Daft. Aside from Virgo, I do prefer the BBC commentary and studio thoughts.Customised full size Riley table with black pockets and Strachen 6811 Tournament Cloth all housed in an air-conditioned 8m x 5m Grande Servern Plus log cabin from Dunster House supported with RSJ's.

When, I can, I usually watch it on the BBC. Either BBC 2, or the Interactive service.
Since the BBC has started showing less on the Red Button, and my internet connection at home is pretty rubbish at streaming, I am sometimes forced to watch it on Eurosport. Either due to no snooker being on the BBC at all, or that they are only showing one match and I wanted to watch the other table.
The problem with Eurosport is mainly bad timing. In that, the snooker is scheduled to start at 1pm, but when you turn on they are showing tennis or some under-21 football games that's over-run. With the BBC, at least they show snooker when they advertise they will. Also random Eurosport niggles are that the commentators aren't particularly knowledgable and that random buzzing in the background don't help. And why show a tournament all week, and then not bother showing the final? In Eurosport's defence though, they do cover a lot of the smaller tournaments that BBC pretend don't exist.
It's just the BBC has an all round more professional looking product. When they can be bothered to actually cover a tournament.Last edited by SnookerFan; 23 January 2013, 10:55 AM.
