Have to say Mark was quite lucky to beat Davis in the first round, but here it really was John who got everything safe everytime he missed, while Mark couldnt get out of snooker, and get any cannon right. Absolutely deserved win for Mark. John wasnt terrible untill the last few frames, but suddenly the pressure just got on him too much, perhaps I have never seen John so much under pressure! By the way, was this something like 10 out of 10 deciders at the Masters for Selby?2007 TSF Pot Black prediction contest winner

I just can't believe how many lives Mark Selby has... 5-3 down, behind in all frames, but somehow he always seems to survive, even when it's not in his hands anymore. A bit unlucky for Higgins to get two kicks at crucial times, surely he would have got those couple of colours in the penultimate frame, or indeed those couple of reds he needed in the decider.
But what a lovely clearance it was from Selby in the end, balls of steel to get that double on the blue and then play the pink into the middle. And that snooker behind the green that opened the door for his comeback... surely the shot of the season so far.
I'm not sure I would call this the match of the season, as the International Championship final was quite special, but surely among the one-session matches we're not likely to see a better one.

I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Certainly he hasn't won by sheer luck, even I just can't deny he's a great competitor and this is why he won I guess.
Yet I really don't like him, I never liked him and never will cause nothing he can do (well maybe retiring from the game) could help things going worse everytime I see him. You may respect the competitor but you just can't like the guy. This is abnormal. How could you admire a guy who will stop to nothing just to win a game of snooker? The dirtiest tactics no one dares using -- he does! He just seems not to have a sense of honor that keeps him away from that. So yeah basically every defeat he takes is good to me. Hell yeah, Shaun, dome a favor and crush that guy
