I guess that when you have such contempt for a player already as you clearly have , then pretty much everything that player does will be seen through tainted glasses.

On with the match at hand...Shaun had his chance but failed to take it. Not too surprising as he has barely had a chance to get the cue arm going. Hope Selby will let up a bit now and Shaun gets another chance soon (and takes it).

I don't see anything wrong with Selby asking to have the ball replaced. Any other player would have done the same. Selby is playing fantastic snooker. He might have fluked the snooker but it would have been a good safety anyway and Shaun would have still been in trouble. Mark's B game is good enough to beat most folks in a competition. But today. He's brought his A game. Very tight safeties. Great long pots and brilliant break building. What more could you ask of a snooker player.

I genuinely don't think there is another pro in the game that would have that put back. Okay it was a straight red but he was already 50 odd in front, you have to try and win the frame rather than amass more points in misses, from a snooker that he didn't actually intend in the first place.

Its called etiquette of the game and having respect for your opponent, something Selby lacks in both departments. Every game he plays I try and give him the benefit of the doubt and look to see an improvement in his respect for the game and yet he sinks to a new low. So yeah I have contempt for the guy and I'm not alone in that respect as many others do as well. We can't all be wrong can we, if so many see a problem with him.

Hmm 4-0...that's a big gap to come back from for Shaun. As Hendy just said in the studio...can't really see a way back for him against Selby in this mode. Shame really...I'd love to see a close match (as always).
