  • I really don't understand how anyone can call Selby, you may not like his style and that's okay but really the man is the epitome of grit, determination, skill and pure bottle hrrm.... all the elements that make a great snooker player, his record speaks volumes.

    • If Maguire comes out cueing as well as he was last night, then he's got a good chance of beating Ronnie this evening IMO. But I'd quite like to see another Selby v Ronnie final really, they're a perfect match for each other. Either way, hope it goes close this evening.

What a superb tournament this has been.

      The fast and the furious,
      The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

      • Hope nobody told Ronnie that Selby won today - he might be so repulsed by the idea of playing him that he gives Maguire the match in frame one!

None from me. My comments over the last day or so, regarding Selby, have been unacceptable and I would like to apologise for them now.

And I'm not backtracking here to save face. I was in a foul mood the night he won against Higgins and quite frankly I was ready to hit out at everyone and everything.

Mind you, it was Murphy he knocked out today, so you'll hear no complaints from me.

Definitely! Another Selby - ROS Final would be great indeed. I think Selby is just about the only player that can beat ROS when he is in top form. However I'm really hoping Mags can progress to the Final...would be great for him.

            Game On!

              • Let's go Ronnie! yes I am guilty of being a glory hunter and supporting the favourite. I can't help but hope to see another display as brilliant as the quarter-final.

                • When ROS plays like he did yesterday I always think he's about to lose the next match.

In a first to 10, this is ROS's match all day, but first to 6 I fancy Maguire.

                  • Fantastic start from Mags! He's cueing very well. First frame in the bag.

                    • That could be a huge miss for Ronnie tbh.

Reminds me of a frame Bingham stole in the early stages of the UK match which proved vital. Match looks good so far.

                              • You can still see Mags beating himself up a bit about last frame and consequently having run out of the huge self confidence he had from ball 1 in the first. C'mon Mags get your focus and composure back...you were off to such a fantastic start!
