Plus the other players are nowhere near his standard.

It would depend how the frames pan out, if Ronnie starts to break down in frames Selby will be boosted, and we've seen before Paul Hunter doing it from 7-1 behind! I don't see it personally but maybe worth a pound bet on Selby lol.?

Well it's pretty much all over. Disappointing final, I expected more from Selby.

Yeah, it's a shame. I was hoping for a finale worthy of what's been a brilliant tournament, but it looks like that's not going to happen now. Fair dues to ROS, he's done what's been required of him throughout the tournament. He has given enough chances to his opponents, but none seemed capable of capitalising on them, which is of course deadly, there's no better front runner than Ronnie.

So here's hoping for a little miracle this evening, or at least a respectable scoreline. And it's worth remembering that by definition, the greatest sporting moments are born of seemingly lost situations such as this, so you just never know. (Where the hell is that 'clutching_at_straws' smilie!)

Selby can still win for sure. Though only he + Higgins could do it.
