nobody is saying that all snooker players have to be as fast as ronnie or judd. however, there has to be a reasonable amount of time e.g. 25 - 30 secs in which the shot has to be played to ensure that players don't play slowly deliberately to affect their opponents. with the proliferation of players who use this tactic to affect opponents and of course the current world #1 being the flag bearer for this tactic and having elevated it to new levels beyond peter ebdon, there is an urgent need for regulation
if you look at how certain players have used this tactic against ronnie over his ~20 years on the pro circuit, judd is not being paranoid at all - he is 100% correct - why should he be disadvantaged because he is a quick thinker, technically superior, more familiar with what shots to take and more effective in shot execution?

He can think quick, be technically superior etc. when it's his turn to hit the ball. If he can't produce that when someone isn't playing as fast as he wants, it's a mental weakness that he should try to get rid off and not to blame the other guy.
I can't believe Robertson managed to lose that decider, it's so unlike him... First he messes up a simple positional shot on 50, then he fails to get on a loose red for frame and match, and finally he takes on a silly cut and lets Bingham in for the clearance. Great clearance it was though...
Maguire was alright as well, made some good breaks even though he seemed to be in his frustrated mode at one point. But he will have to work harder for his chances against a better player.

It seems like Robertson has lost his "killerinstinct" at the moment.
