Best player won on the day, and I thought it was thoroughly decent of Mags to give the crowd their money's worth by giving Trump a chance to win a few frames towards the end before clinching the match in the end.

That kind of run is so important when you are trying to get back from behind. that is the difference between Selby and Judd, Selby would have had the run to win that match, Judd just can't seem to get much going on the moment.

To be fair Judd is probably letting his opponents win a few whilst they can because once he decides that he's going to dominate the game he will. He is definitely holding back for the WC though, that is the main prize and I still think he's a massive favourite in the longer matches where he can put proper pressure on his opponents. These short frame matches are anyone's these days, its all about who performs on the day or session.

Quite a good match in the end. Trump got back into it in no time with some very quick scoring, but Maguire was always likely to get that one chance. And he played a great last frame. Excellent pot to the green pocket first of all, then that red from distance, and also the red along the cushion.
He has faced some tough opponents in ranking finals, and Bingham is certainly playing some top snooker these days, but surely this is Maguire's best chance to finally win one again.

Also development in couple of areas, mental and tactical, wouldn't hurt.
heres hoping he can tweek his game just a wee bit and get a few big wins

Personally I think Trump was a shade unlucky, Maguire was the better player on the day and deserved to win but he did have a good run of the ball like when he was snookered and just when for the hit and hope and when in off...... But that's the way it goes sometimes and Trump has had more than his fair share of luck in the past, swings and rounds as they say!!
But to say to his past his best is definitely not the case, you can see his game is changing cause he is starting to refuse certain low percentage shots. And how many times did we seeing him playing on when he needed 2,3 snookers which he normally wouldn't do...... His game won't change over night but when he finds that happy medium he'll definitely be the one to beat imo!!
I'm looking forward to the final today lets hope it's a good'un!!Winner of 2011 Masters Fantasy game......
Winner of 2011 World Championship Fantasy game.......
