He'll always find something to moan about, wherever he is or isn't.

Quite a good match in the end. Trump got back into it in no time with some very quick scoring, but Maguire was always likely to get that one chance. And he played a great last frame. Excellent pot to the green pocket first of all, then that red from distance, and also the red along the cushion.

He has faced some tough opponents in ranking finals, and Bingham is certainly playing some top snooker these days, but surely this is Maguire's best chance to finally win one again. :wink:

I think the whole tournament is the best i,ve seen for quite a few years . Some cracking snooker from a lot of players .

Get's aome stick does the welsh but the players int got a bad word to say about the venue, they always say it's a pleasure to play there and conditions are always superb..

Although, i was speaking to one player last year and he said.. "I've been around the world palying snooker and seen all sorts but some of the ppl here in newport are right weirdo's" or words to that effect anyway.... lol...

got to say as well, a really good tournament, surprise results, great come backs, new faces & old faces doing well, etc.

yes robertson v bingham was great, actually can't really think of a poor match.
