all his titles he won in the past two years were a struggle, not one convincing one. in all of the them he came from behind rather than dominating them. he isnt the same player anymore
Well, he's only won one in the last two years, so I guess you could say he came from behind in all of them.
He's definitely not at his best though. He's playing like Hendry of the last few years, a good patch here and there, but not strong enough to win him matches when you put it all together. I've switched to the other table where Poomjaeng has made a great start. It looks like it could be high quality.
So just got home from work, starting my snooker day with a big delay Take a wild guess which match I will be focusing on right away? Yes you're right...Ebdon vs Dott...I know the scoreline already from where 'rain stopped play'...but I hear it's been a very good hard fought battle, plus commentary from duo Foulds & Hendon...this must be my lucky day. Bring out the swords boys and let's get fighting
Well played to Mark Davis. It will be interesting to see how this quarter plays out now... Mark Davis and Stuart Bingham are both strong players of this season, and we have two interesting seeds as well - O'Sullivan and Carter. I would say O'Sullivan has an excellent chance to reach the semi-finals now.
As for Higgins, a bit of bad luck at the wrong times combined with mediocre form, to end a pretty underwhelming season. It will be interesting to see if he comes back stronger next season, like he has done a couple of times in the past.
I love Neal Foulds' commentary. Can't believe the BBC let him and Clive go and yet retain the services of Thorne and Taylor.
Has this been confirmed, or is Foulds simply freelancing? I did wonder when I heard him on Eurosport the other day, whether he's officially been dropped by the Beeb. Yet another ridiculous decision if so!
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"
:biggrin-new: Poomjaeng applauding his own shot! That's the best thing I've seen all week!
Not going to lie, but I'd only seen Poomjaeng play twice before today; but after this performance he seems like an absolute legend! Could watch him all day.
"You have to play the game like it means nothing, when in fact it means everything to you" Steve Davis.
