Feel a bit of a tw@ for saying that now, having seen his post match chat with Rob. Didn't realise he'd had a bad time of things off the table.

      • Well unless Ding spoils the party it's fair to say that the next world champion will be english. The remainder of the tourney has lost quite a lot of interest to me, it might be the french blood speaking but there aren't much english players I could cheer for, and amongst them very few could compete for the title. I can only see Ricky Walden and to a lesser degree Judd Trump and Barry Hawkins

No, that would be terrible. I'm happy to take Poomjaeng, White and Milkins over Maguire, Williams and Robertson. They all won fair and square on the table.

I want as many players as possible to play their best snooker. Unfortunately, for the second year in a row, that mostly applies to qualifiers, while a lot of the top players disappoint. I'm usually an optimist when it comes to snooker, but I can't help but worry a little at the prospect of a Selby-Milkins semi-final. But then again, you never know when you might get a pleasant surprise.

          • Very entertaining match that was! Neil was out of sorts and Robert on the ball...kept his cool very nicely throughout. Must be very proud of himself right now...many congrats to him, very well done.

I think that would make a good semi-final. Okay maybe not the most mouthwatering contest on paper, but both quality players with contrasting styles..

              • Did Robertson say that the table was rubbish or something?

I only caught the last few seconds of his interview.

Yes, but a little over the top you have to admit.

Confirms my personal thoughts about Neil, as I wrote a bit earlier in this thread. Used to like him but not any more. Too bad really. But enough about the poor and unfortunate mr Robertson Onwards with the match at hand...
