It looks like a quite open tournament to me with several players who could win it. If Ding can reproduce the form from the PTC final then he´s my favorit.

I finally had the time to look at the draw properly.
I fancy ROS making the final again, or at least semis. Chances are that ROS will likely meet either Murphy or Trump in the semis.

On the other end, it is rather open. Four players could make the other semi final are: Mags, Robertson, Ding or Jack.

he will struggle to beat higgins. i hope he does but his record aint good against the best match player of alltime! ronnie fans are hoping dark mavis does it but i doubt it.

higgins hasnt had the best of runs this year i think. a more match sharp and hungry mark davis would want to make it for the kill.
i can be wrong.
those who can make the top half of the semis could be: ROS, higgins, murphya and trump.

either way, the final looks tasty.

Higgins won't have a good run, I reckon. He's been pretty poor lately.

Does anyone know of any broadcasts of the Championships into Australia? I know about livetv and bet365 streams but is there any pay TV options? I've looked at Australian Eurosport and they have nothing listed in their TV guide... Any heads up would be appreciated.

You can NEVER discount Higgins. Even 9 nil, and 70 points down in a first to 10.

Does anybody know of any good snooker clubs in Sheffield? i.e good table conditions.

the Star Snooker Academy, used by pros and anyone who can afford it, based in the Sheffield United Sports academy. £6 an hour or £40 a day

The Green Room up at High Green. Membership only £1.42 a day or £10 a week, bargain

Anyway, I am so looking forward to seeing the tournament start.
The response when ROS comes out - I can only imagine it will be like Higgins/Trump final two years ago - or even more so...
I am all planned, I have the stock of Doritos, cans of beer and have told the wife "here's the card, take the kids out for the day"
Maybe that should have been "weekend"
