  • Only 980 seats at the Crucible causes big headaches in terms of seat allocation.

It is if your broadband is crap or limited by your ISP.

I know, 10% of the UK still only have access to a dial-up connection, bloody luddites!

          • I signed up to the live snooker website thing yesterday...very impressed with the streaming quality! Solid stuff from Ronnie. Some great clearances to nick frames, although his long potting was poor. Disappointed with the score on the other table though. If that match finishes quickly tomorrow, the only other option will be to watch Dott vs Ebdon....

Edit: Did anyone else notice Jan Verhaas mouth "ouch" after his handshake with Marcus Campbell after he entered the arena? He looks like a guy with a strong handshake!

The last time Dott and Ebdon played in Sheffield, it was actually a very good match. But it could just as easily be a grind. I think it depends on how well Dott plays right from the off. If he plays fluently and has a good start, it could be quality.

Not too bad a start for him was it, all things considered. 3 80+ breaks, a 70+ and a few 50+ thrown in. Marcus will be kicking himself though, it could have been very different.

My fellow Dutchie certainly seems like the strong-silent type

                  • enjoyable start . . . some nice breaks (including a 140) . . . bring on the next session!
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Hahaha...think I just pissed my pants yes, it really is getting more pathetic each year. Steve was and still is right...we do not need these stupid nicknames in snooker.

Right...onwards with the match then...rooting for Shaun all the way.

Pure genius. I reckon it should be "The Dude" as in "The big Lizowski"

So kind. Which match are you concentrating on this afternoon Daffie? Think I'll stick with "the Dude" for now and see how it goes.
