Sure Davis has had some luck but he also played some outstanding snooker and potting some stunning long pots. All credit to the man. Best I've seen him play.

hahah. he deserved to be down by this scoreline. Davis made some good breaks and stunning long pots. Higgins had too much luck in his careere. justice be done.

Yeah he potted very well, but he created virtually nothing. He just successfully took the easy chances Higgins left for him. Ok he didn't miss much, but his advantage relies only on Higgins' mistakes... It's Higgins fault anyway, he had the opportunities and he would have the lead if he had converted them. Anyway, I can't help thinking that luck helped Davis quite much.

All those who are saying Mark Davis was lucky etc. ... you lot have no clue at all. That was an inspirational session of snooker from Mark Davis. Absolute stunning ... If he can keep that level consistently, I can't see why can he not win it all the way. That was class period! Higgins was missing because he was being steamrolled and not many have been able to do that to Higgins. Loved every bit of it. This guy Mark Davis is such a likable guy .... Absolute gentleman ... keep going Davis!!! Some of the pots he went for and pulled out, I doubt even Ronnie or Trump would attempt!. If Ronnie had played this good, everyone would be jumping all over the place but since its Davis, people are focusing on how bad Higgins was. Few could see the brilliance of Davis. Mind you, the toughest qualifier was Wenbo and Davis beat him rather comfortably. Get a grip guys .. will ya

Murphy is definately not his normal (confident, focused, positive frame of mind) self tonight, as he wasn't yesterday. Hoping he might pull through this one and find his rhythm for the next match.
